The Digital Kinderuni Brings STEM, German, and Much More to MIT!
October 28, 2019
The Goethe-Institut’s Digital Kinderuni is coming to Boston! The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will play host to “A World of Learning,” which will invite hundreds of students from Boston-area schools to have fun while learning more about the Digital Kinderuni. Targeted towards elementary and middle school students and teachers, parents and university professors, this event aims to promote STE(A)M education and unite STE(A)M with the German language, while encouraging schools to incorporate research into their curricula.
For one day, 400 students from Boston-area school will have the chance to experience age-appropriate lectures, workshops, and science shows hosted by top German scientists, philosophers, and artists. Christoph Biemann, star long-running TV show Sendung mit der Maus (The Show with the Mouse) will perform thought-provoking experiments and astronaut Reinhold Ewald will talk about what it’s like to explore space! Following the lectures, students can participate in fun workshops about Bauhaus design, sustainability, and even beatboxing!
Wunderbar Together is especially excited to partner with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for this event, and are even more excited to feature some seminars and workshops for students sponsored by MIT. Johannes Ebert, Secretary General of the Goethe-Institut, will also be on-hand to join in on the fun.
