Wiesn in a Box Brings Oktoberfest to Texas
August 14, 2019
Oktoberfest may not be kicking off in Munich until next month, but here in the US, Wiesn in a Box has been bringing the spirit of the famous Bavarian festival to the American heartland all year!
Wiesn in a Box has three specially designed trailers that use Bauhaus-style architecture to pack a big Bavarian experience into a space small enough to take on the road. As a part of Wunderbar Together, the Pop-Up Biergarten will be traveling to dozens of American cities and towns from coast to coast. At each stop, Wiesn in a Box serves up traditional hot pretzels and ice-cold Hofbräu beer on tap!
The tour is traveling throughout the US to promote German-American friendship by bringing Germans and Americans together for classic German snacks. For some, it was their first taste of the famous Hofbräu beer, while others were reminded of fond memories of their own travels in Germany.
While on the road, the Wiesn team created a Spotify playlist with their favorite tunes that capture the spirit of American highways and the German Autobahn. Give it a listen and discover other German-American playlists on Spotify.
Get ready to celebrate Oktoberfest wherever you are by brushing up on your Bavarian vocabulary! Wiesn in a Box created a helpful list of Bavarian words and phrases related to the famous festival. Prost!
