A Look Back: Germany Week in Chicago
31.Mai 2019
Wunderbar Together’s official roadshow, The PopUp Tour, combines an impressive cultural tent with mobile presentations, entertainment, engaging educational programming, and features a showcase of top German businesses. From April 26 to May 5, in collaboration with Germany Week in Chicago, Wunderbar Together brought the PopUp Tour to its first stop at Daley Plaza.
The first stop of the PopUp Tour was a stellar success! More than 21,000 visitors attended 52 events over the course of the week. Some listened in as German Ambassador Emily Haber discussed the importance of transatlantic cooperation and German-American friendships. Others attended blues concerts, wine festivals, and circus performances. Many participated in Work Awesome, where experts, innovators, and creators connected through discussions on the future of work in our digital economy. Fans cheered on their favorite Bundesliga teams at our watch party. Scientists went head-to-head at our Science Slam, pitching their best and most innovative projects to a captivated audience. Some of our sponsors, BASF, SAP, Siemens AG, and Allianz, created engaging programs for our visitors.
Be sure to catch the PopUp Tour later this year at its stops in Atlanta and Portland! Visit www.wunderbartogether.org/popup-tour/ for more information.
The Wunderbar Together PopUp Tour partners are BASF, Bayer AG, BMW Group, Daimler AG, Evonik Industries, SAP, Schaeffler, Seimens AG, Allianz, Lanxess, Lufthansa, and Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
