Hanover Schools Welcome the WanderbUS
03.Mai 2019
The WanderbUS recently brought a taste of German culture to the Richmond area, visiting Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia! Students from Atlee, Lee-Davis High School, and Stonewall Jackson Middle School climbed aboard the bus to play language games, take virtual tours of German cities on VR headsets, and improve their language skills using special apps and programs.
Robyn Thompson, a German teacher at Lee-Davis High and Jackson Middle, was excited to share this “unique experience” with her students, saying that “it’s quite flattering that they thought to put this together, that they wanted this magical year of German-American partnership with us.”
The WanderbUS was also featured in the weekly Whatcha Learning Wednesday video, which highlights special events happening in the Hanover County school district!
The WanderbUS will continue its tour this year with stops in all 48 contiguous states. Follow the tour on Instagram: @goethewanderbus
