Share Your Photos of German Summer Food and Drinks with #AmericanCooksGerman
27.Juni 2019

Summer weather means summer foods! Spoonfuls of Germany’s Nadia Hassani has been cooking up many of our favorite summer German favorites on her blog, including homemade currywurst, German-style cheese cake with Rote Grütze topping, and the ever-popular “Hugo” cocktail.
Nadia’s blog is proof that you don’t have to go all the way to Germany to taste the best of what German cuisine has to offer. That’s why this summer, she’s launching the summer edition of #AmericaCooksGerman to highlight tasty German delicacies found across the country.
Readers are invited to post their own photos of German summer favorites with the hashtag #AmericaCooksGerman. Dishes can be hot or cold, hearty entrees or refreshing cocktails, homemade or found at a local restaurant. If it’s German-American, we want to see it!
Post your photos of German summer food found in the US to Instagram with a description of the food, where you are, and the hashtags #AmericaCooksGerman and #WunderbarTogether. Nadia will compile the entries into a special collection showing how Americans are eating German this summer.
Not on Instagram? Email your photo to spoonfulsofgerman@gmail.com or send a Facebook message to the Spoonfuls of German Facebook page and Nadia will post the photo on Instagram for you!
Check out the Spoonfuls blog for inspiration and get cooking!
