After thousands of events across the country, the Year of German-American Friendship 2018/19 has come to an end, but the memories remain.
In 2019, we were fortunate enough to meet folks from every corner of the United States and to celebrate, together, the strong relationship between our countries, rooted in deep historical ties, shared values, and bold visions for the future.

MEUTE Begins their US Tour in Washington, DC
MEUTE, one of Hamburg’s most exciting music groups, is currently touring the US, bringing their unique blend of techno and marching band music to venues from Nashville to West Hollywood. This year, Kansas City journalist Anne Marie was given the opportunity to take part in the “Goethe Close-Up” exchange program. Sponsored by the Goethe-Institut and Wunderbar Together, the project gives cultural journalists working in print, online, and radio media the opportunity to swap work places with journalists from another country for three to four weeks.Read More
