This year, visitors to the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. can view German artist Julian Rosefeldt’s acclaimed multichannel film, Manifesto (pictured), at Manifesto: Art x Agency, a group exhibition that examines the art historical impact of artist manifestos from the 20th century to present day.

Each of the film’s 13 segments feature actress Cate Blanchett and are played simultaneously. Viewers can move throughout the exhibit and watch the segments in any order they choose.

In addition to the titular film, the Hirshhorn has curated two additional sections featuring a diverse selection of works from the museum’s permanent collection.

The exhibition will be on display at the Hirshhorn until January 5, 2020. Like all exhibitions at the Hirshhorn Museum, Manifesto: Art x Agency is free and open to the public. Find more information on the Hirshhorn website.
