TOOOOR! A student at Willis Jr. High School in Chandler, Arizona put one in the back of the net during the a German-language Soccer Camp organized by the Goethe-Institut Chicago and led by trainers from Auf Ballhöhe, a German intercultural education and sports project. Matthias Eiles and Giovanni Brandi, two coaches for the Eintracht Frankfurt U-12 team, were on hand to share their expertise with the American youngsters.

Students began the camp in the classroom learning words like Einwurf  (throw-in), Schuss (shot), and Tor (goal) before heading outside and putting their skills to the test on the soccer field. Training was held completely in German, which gave students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the German language outside of the typical classroom environment.
