German Federal Commissioner Dorothee Bär Discusses the Social Impact of Digitalization at SXSW
March 15, 2019
German Federal Commissioner for Digitalization Dorothee Bär visited SXSW this year to meet with partners in the United States and learn about the latest trends in urban mobility being presented at the festival.
Bär is particularly interested in the social components of emerging innovation, especially in transportation and health, and how these developments impact families.
For Bär, the relationship between Germany and the US is personal. As a teenager, Bär lived with an American host family while attending high school in Chicago, Illinois. Her lifelong bond with her host family is further evidence that Germany and the US are Wunderbar Together.
