Top Clubs FC Bayern Munich and BVB Dortmund Embark on Summer Tours in the US

The Bundesliga season may be over in Germany, but the action is just getting started for soccer fans in the US! FC Bayern Munich and BVB Dortmund, two top-tier German teams, will both be touring the country to take on top clubs in other European Leagues and MLS in exhibition matches.

FC Bayern Munich, fresh off its 7th straight Bundesliga championship, will bring its Audi Summer Tour to three American cities. The Bavarian club will kick off its tour in Los Angeles on July 17 with an exciting matchup against Arsenal F.C. before taking on Real Madrid in Houston on the 20th and A.C. Milan in Kansas City on the 23rd.

Chris Richards, a defender for the club and member of the US U-20 National Team, will be one of the players making the trip! BVB Dortmund, who took second place in this year’s Bundesliga, will also be visiting the States to sharpen their skills in preparation for the 2019-2020 season. The Black-and-Yellows will be completing a six-day training camp from July 15-20 featuring two friendlies. On July 17, they will play against the MLS club Seattle Sounders at the CenturyLink Field. On July 20, BVB will take on the 2019 Champions League winner Liverpool F.C. and meet former BVB coach Jürgen Klopp as an opponent.

Dortmund has a strong fan base in the United States. Wunderbar Together hosted Bundesliga viewing parties along with the BVB US Midwest Fan Club as a part of Germany Week in Chicago in April. Andy Stecher, a member of the club, attended the party and commented on how Dortmund’s visits allow their American fans to engage with the team.
