The German American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (GACC) in New York is part of the worldwide network of German Chambers abroad (AHK) with over 140 offices in 92 countries. AHKs can be found in countries with a specific interest for the German economy and work closely with local chambers of commerce and industry (IHK) in Germany as well as German industry associations. GACC New York was founded in 1947 and has promoted commerce between Germany and the U.S. for over 70 years. During this time, GACC New York has established itself as a modern service provider and a reliable partner in German-American business inquiries. The chamber offers a wide variety of services in order to support German companies with their market entry and expansion into the United States. Services included market entry and business development, legal services/incorporation service, intern visa service, recruitment services, and innovation and startup relations. GACC New York is a membership organization and offers a multitude of different events each month. In providing a diverse network consisting of over 900 member companies and thousands of contacts from various industry sectors, the organization’s activities are well aligned with the mission of the “Wunderbar Together” campaign and make it perfectly equipped to organize multifaceted events attracting a diverse German-American audience.

As part of the celebration of the German-American Friendship in the U.S., GACC New York is organizing a culinary roadshow under the title “A Taste of Germany”. The five-day roadshow is traveling across the Northeastern U.S.  from July 22-26, 2019 and making stops in Bethlehem (PA), Pittsburgh (PA), Buffalo (NY), Rochester (NY) and Albany (NY). A total of ten German exhibitors will be presenting German foods and beverages at each of the roadshow stops. The tasting events aim to connect U.S. and German culture through traditional as well as innovative German foods and beverages. Moreover, the project will foster business relationships between German and U.S. counterparts through networking.
