In 2019, the Wunderbar Together PopUp Tour traveled across the country to bring the best of German food, culture, art, business, and innovation to Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, and Portland.
The PopUp Tour – Wunderbar Together’s official roadshow – stopped in Atlanta featuring an impressive culture tent with mobile presentation modules and various flexible pop-up edutainment elements.
Grab a pretzel and an authentic German beer and come enjoy the Wiesn in a Box-mobile Biergarten. “Wiesn” is the home of the legendary Oktoberfest in Munich. This year, it’s and now coming to several American cities in the Year of German-American Friendship with all the comforts and tastes of the traditional Bavarian Biergarten.
Packed with fun games, virtual reality experiences, and lots of other cool things to explore, the WanderbUS and its team will travel to all of the lower 48 states before October of this year.
The Goethe WanderbUS is traveling to 60 schools this year on a mission to visit students in all 48 contiguous states. Most recently, the WanderbUS brought its exciting program of interactive technology and fun language games to Hayt Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois. Johannes Ebert, Chairman of the Board for Goethe-Institut, attended the event to meet with students and join in on the fun!

LA, Austin, New York, Detroit, Portland! Together with Reeperbahn Festival and Next Media Accelerator, Re:publica – Europe’s largest conference on internet and digital society – toured the USA throughout the Year of German-American Friendship.
