Germany Week and the PopUp Tour kicked off this Friday with a series of events bringing people together to celebrate German-American friendship!
The 2019 Hip-Hop Battle hosted by the Goethe-Institut Boston brought students from high schools across New England together for a one-of-a-kind competition that put their language and rapping skills to the test.
German Minister of Foreign Affairs Heiko Maas met with artist Luigi Toscano in Washington and bid him farewell. Toscano was preparing to travel with his exhibition across the country on a 10-day road trip from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, California.
Renowned photographer Juergen Teller’s exhibition “Mmm!” will be on display during Germany Week in Chicago. The photographs reveal how German food culture is largely shaped by young chefs creatively reinventing centuries-old tradition and bringing their own unique ideas to the table.
This one-week educational event is oriented towards researchers at various levels of academia and from diverse backgrounds in the sciences, humanities, engineering, design, and the arts. Artists, actors, and activists from civil society, the arts, and politics are also strongly encouraged to apply.
