“ADA” the interactive art-making machine on display at the Mattress Factory Museum in Pittsburgh this spring
“ADA” is a large, inflatable, helium-filled balloon with charcoal spikes trapped in a solid white-walled room.
The Bauhaus and Harvard, on view February 8 through July 28, 2019, will feature approximately 200 works, including textiles, paintings, photographs, furniture, and archival materials, drawn almost entirely from the Busch-Reisinger Museum’s rich collection.
As Hollywood’s biggest stars gathered in Los Angeles for the 91st Academy Awards, German director and Academy Award winner Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck was there to present his new film, Never Look Away, that had been nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.
Goethe’s Theory of Color meets light art: German-American artistic collaboration Luftwerk (Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero) are experimenting with light conditions – from day to night, light to dark. Their color-coded wallpaper is activated through shifting color interactions and is inspired by Goethe’s Theory of Colors. The exhibition celebrated the opening of the Goethe Pop Up Kansas City.
