This year, the German Design Museum Foundation is offering students at colleges and universities across the United States the opportunity to learn about Bauhaus in a hands-on way through interactive design workshops entitled “Discover Design – Discover Bauhaus.”

Digital artists and musicians flocked to San Francisco, California for MUTEK.SF, the American iteration of the genre-breaking festival celebrating the cutting edge in music, art, and technology originally held in Montreal, Canada. The four-day festival took place March 2-5 in venues across San Francisco and featured a blend of international luminaries with artists from the local community. Among these were three German artists who brought their own take on visual effects and digital art to an American audience: Dopplereffekt, Emptyset, and Aisha Devi.

MEUTE, one of Hamburg’s most exciting music groups, kicked off their North American tour at U Street Music Hall in Washington, DC bringing their unique blend of techno and marching band music to the nation’s capital.
